Our big boy!!

Nay-nay-nay-nay

What is that??
This is one of my favorite things to do.

Dylan has turned two months....so I took him for his two month check-up and shots. He weighed in at 13lbs exact and 24 7/8inches long. The Doctor said that he is growing very well preportioned and that everything looked good with him. Dylan got all 4 shots at once and the oral vaccine as well. It has been 5 days since he has gotten them, but he has steadily gotten to be more and more of a crier. Not sure if it was the shots or he is just wanting to be held constantly. Another thing that he is doing a lot of is this little cry in his sleep. Wonder if babies have nightmares? Oh yeah, and Pete and I have taught him to stick out his tongue so he now does this all the time. Until next time.....

A visit with some of my Family

I just wanted to post up some pictures from before Ike. My Grandmother, Dylan's Great-grandmother came in to town to visit with us and hold Dylan for the first time. While we visited Pete, Timo(my step-dad) and my older brother went fishing for some guy time. Then, we had a visit from our Friends Melinda, Manuel, Roxanne and Adam.

FEMA Pod here we come
Well, let me just start off by thanking God for everything he has done for us and our families. We had a wild ride with Hurricane Ike just like many others we were told we had to leave our home and evacuate on Thursday. So we packed our little car with as much as we could and headed off to Spring. We went to our friend Manuel and Roxanne's house where we ended up having to leave while the eye of the storm passed over us. There were two tall pine trees leaning on one other one and they were all leaning toward the house(the part where we were all sleeping). SO instead of chancing it we left to Manuel's sister's house down the road. There we road out the rest of the storm. All this time little Dylan was soooo good, but like any new mother I started to worry because he felt really hot. We then left and went to my Father's house where he had a generator but, low and behold it ended up flooding in their house the next morning. Boy, what a journey this turned out to be. We finally arrived home no electricity until 4pm. We felt so lucky when we finally got it we called up everyone that we could get through to and invited them to come stay in the AC. We were so exhausted when we got home, but straight to the FEMA pod and cleaning the house we went. After all of this Felicia was over playing with Dylan doing his new favorite thing(hanging upside down and swinging) when......we heard his first laugh! We didn't even realize it at first then when we did we could not get a giggle on camera. We will keep trying though.

My new friend

Daddy Duty
Pete, Dylan and myself went to our friend Robert's house his girlfriend just had her second baby. A little girl named Miranda Leeann, she was a lot smaller than Dylan was, so it was pretty funny to see them side by side. She is 2 1/2 weeks in these pictures. Too cute! Dylan will have so many friends his age.

I Love-Love our new camera

Well, Pete and I decided to join in on all this fun with the blogging world. Since so many people want weekly pictures and updates we decided to just do it! Looking at the title you can tell I am in love with our new camera. We needed something that was going to be able to capture all of Dylan's firsts and come out good on print. Soooo, we invested in a new camera. We have been taking so many pictures now. We even caught a few really good ones. I am going to see if I can put them on. We will keep everyone updated.
