Dylan fell asleep in the middle of his bedroom floor so Pete moved him then we noticed what he had in his hand...low and behold a ball! Too cute!

We went to celebrate my Fathers birthday with him on Sunday I volunteered to make the cake since I have been going to this cake course. Oh and what a delicious cake it was....It was stawberry cake with triple chocolate chip fudge in between the layers and vanilla buttercream icing. Talk about sugar rush! I have to admit that decorating cakes is a lot of work, but I love it. Also, I have to say my husband is so great he watch Dylan while I decorated and decorated the cake. He really is supporting me at this and encouraging me that I can do this. As time goes by I am sure to pick up more techniques and hopefully become betterb. Happy Birthday again Dad, hope this was good birthday for you and we hope to spend many more with you.

I'm a big boy now!

Who would have guessed that the reason why our Dilly Monster did not want to sleep in his crib anymore because he was wanting to be in a big boy bed. I certainly was surprized and glad that this was the solution. After our vacation to the river he just did not want to sleep in his crib anymore in fact anytime when you would get close to eat he would start to cry. We tried to cry-it out method a couple of days, but it always seemed worse after we got him. Not to mention it took me praying for strength and Dylan comfort the entire time he cried. We were getting desperate. We started to ask just about everyone for advise we were willing to try just about anything when a friend of our suggested to Pete to switch the crib to a toddler bed. His girlfriends little girl is a few months older than Dylan and she always wanted to sleep with Mommy,so they got her a toddler bed and instantly she wanted to sleep in her bed. I figured ok lets try it, I have to admit I was a little leary since he is not yet walking good and he is still so young. All of this time he just wanted to be able to get in his bed and get out when he was ready. MR. Independent.

I get a monthly update from Gerber in the mail and they sent me the new for Dylan's 12months and it said your toddler. I thought to myself he still feels like he is a baby though where did time fly? Looking back at his newborn pictures and up until now I feel like it was just yesterday that we were in the hospital getting ready to have him. I can still remember most of the day so clearly and it kinda makes me want to cry and smile at the same time. Cry, because I remember how after all the scary things I had to endure just to get him here and yet I still could not just lay and hold him right away. Smile, because Pete and I have made it through 1 year of parenthood( I know many more to go too). Our little boy has helped me to feel a new side of love and for that I am so honored to be a Mother.

Hot weather, soaked clothes and Shamu

We took Dylan and my little sister Alyssa to Seaworld for our vacation. We had an awesome time in San Antonio we went to the wax museum and Ripley's believe it or not the first day. Oh and we also ate at the rainforest cafe, no asgood as I was expecting. Then it was off to Seaworld the next day where little man was a trooper. We stayed from10am til 5:30pm! They have expanded the place since the last time we were there. There is a water park that is in it now called the lost lagoon it was sure nice to get in some water after all that heat. We seen all the animal shows, rode some rides(taking turns of course), and even snuck in some time to enjoy ourselves at the wave pool!
