Music to my ears

The video is of Dylan Playing with an empty can with a bottle inside it. He started banging on it so Pete and I gave him a plastic spoon to make louder noise. He just loves doing this so much lately....he bangs his blocks together and bangs other toys on his walker.Born rocker????Maybe........

Downtown Aquarium

Pete and I decided last Wed. to take off work and take Dylan out and do something we have never done before. We thought about taking him to a safari park in Alvin, but then the weather didn't want to behave so we went to the Downtown Aquarium. It was fun we practicaly had the whole place to out selves. Dylan really liked looking at on the fish and the "BIG KITTY".

Welcome Christian Oscar Garcia

Yesterday one of our really good friends Oscar and his fiance had their baby He weighed in at 9lbs 5oz and 19 inches long. Congrats guys we know you will be great parents! Oh and sorry about how the pictures are he had to go take them for us because the baby is still in the NICU.

7 months came too quick!

It seems like only yesterday I was blogging about his 6 months being here now he is a big 7 months. I really feel like this is a turning point in the baby world so far because now he is just that much closer to turning 1 year old. I will go ahead and update with 7 things about Dylan........

1. He is sitting up quite well now.
2. He like to stand up while he holds on to you
3. He says da-da and la-la sometimes and also I think he calls me Ummma.
4. He likes to eat baby food now more than taking his bottle.
5. He absolutely loves bath time.
6. He is not quite crawling, he scoots backwards.
7. He loves pup-pups like crazy.

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Happy Valentines All! Just wanted to share a couple of pictures from our Valentines with you and tell you a little about what we did to celebrate. First of off the very first picture above was from last Sunday at church they got Dylan's hand prints for me I was so excited since this was my first Valentine from Dylan. Pete and I celebrated our Valentines on Friday night we went out to a place called Guidrys and ate red hot crawfish. Then, this morning Pete and Dylan woke me up with breakfast in bed and this cute painting of both their hands. I feel so very special to have such a loving-kind husband and to now have sweet little Dylan in my life. We headed off to Granny Trudy's house to celebrate with her and Pete made us chicken parmisean with whole grain pasta and garlic bread. Man, what a meal that was!

Hello zoo here we come!

Yesterday we took Dylan to his first visit to the zoo. It was filled with a lot of firsts such as, he got to touch his first billy goat, He slid down his first slide, and he tried his first bite of dippin dots ice cream. We went with our friend Adam and his girlfriend and her daughter. She is about 9 months. The babies looked at everything, but the animals of course and they feel asleep midway through so they missed a lot. All in all it was so good just to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather. Oh yeah and the above picture of the stuffed giraffe is in lieu of the new baby giraffe that was just born at the zoo.
